「十四代 酒未來 純米吟釀」是由山形縣的高木酒造出品，「十四代」系列銘柄如此聞名，「高木酒造」的創新力量功不可沒。「高木酒造」的十四代傳人「高木辰五郎」同時研發出「龍の落とし子」和「酒未來」這兩種新酒米，他用了18年時間來研發酒米，而這兩種酒米，都是著名的酒造好適米配種而成的。「龍の落とし子」的父親是「山酒4號」、母親是「美山錦」，而「酒未來」剛好相反，父親是「美山錦」，母親才是「山酒4號」2010年時，「高木酒造」把「酒未來」使用權配予其他酒藏釀酒後，紛紛釀造出各種的銘柄，引領清酒界熱潮。現今「酒未來」這種酒米每半年一造，產量亦只有2000瓶，十分珍貴。
